BE-Alert
BE-Alert is the alert system of the authorities. Thanks to BE-Alert, the authorities can send you a text message, e-mail or voice call to alert you to an emergency situation and give you the necessary instructions.
When you sign up for BE-Alert, you can register several addresses. That way, you can be alerted when there is an emergency near your children's school, work or other family members.
You can receive a message from BE-Alert or 1789 when:
- you are registered with BE-Alert and there is an emergency near one of your registered addresses;
- you are close to an emergency situation and the authorities have decided to alert everyone with a mobile phone in the area. Even if you are not registered with BE-Alert, you will receive an alert message.
