Implementation ETIAS
Carriers, get ready for the implementation of ETIAS!
The ETIAS Directive, which requires visa-exempt travellers to have a travel authorisation, will come into force in November 2023. On that date, the Belgian ETIAS Unit (BelENU) will be established within the National Travel Targeting Centre of the NCCN.
This new directive implies obligations for international carriers: you will now be legally obliged to check that your passengers have this authorisation. In order to connect to the ETIAS interface which will allow you to carry out this verification, it is imperative that you register with EU-Lisa, by completing the attached form, which must be sent to the e-mail address carriers_onboarding@eulisa.europa.eu.
This registration is a legal obligation. We recommend that you do this as soon as possible. More information on the implementation of ETIAS will be communicated to you soon!
